Join Pavs Pillay, a MSc graduate in Marine Biology, and Iviwe Mtubu, who holds an honours degree in Environmental and Geographical Science. Both will be sharing their stories at 18:00 SAST on Friday, 18 October 2024.
Professor Marcello Vichi from the Department of Oceanography will present his inaugural lecture titled “Fifty degrees of separation. Why Antarctica and the polar regions matter for Afrika” at 17:30 SAST on Monday, 21 October 2024.

Professor Ben Feringa, 2016 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, will present a lecture titled “The Art of Building Small: From Molecular Switches to Motors”, at 12:00 on Friday, 1 November 2024.
This 3-hour fundraising challenge will be held on the UCT Cricket Oval on the 25th of October, 13:00 – 16:00. It’s all about raising funds for the UCT Food Sovereignty Programme.
