The Science Postgraduate Symposium 2019 will take place at Stellenbosch University on 11 September.  We encourage all Postgraduate students from UCT to attend.

The Science Postgraduate Symposium is an annual event that is organised by the Science Postgraduate Students' Council (SPSC). This event targets science postgraduate students who are doing masters and PhD research and affords them the opportunity to showcase their work. Participants can choose to participate either by giving an oral presentation in front of an audience of approximately 100 people, or through a poster presentation. This is a science wide event and we welcome anyone who is affiliated with any of our twelve departments. 

When you sign-up for a presentation (oral or poster) you get a chance to present your work  in front of a big audience and also get a certificate of participation and other freebies on offer. As usual, you will stand a chance of winning a money prize (Cash) when you give a best talk. Judges will be attend the presentations. In addition, we have invited some of the companies to come and join on the day of the symposium and they will be giving away freebies.
