Two new Cape seed dispersal stories; fecal mimicry by a Restio and directed dispersal of Heeria fruits by a rupestris rodent
23 November 2016
Professor Jeremy Midgley & Joseph White will present the Department of Biological Sciences seminar with a talk entitled, "Two new Cape seed dispersal stories; fecal mimicry by a Restio and directed dispersal of Heeria fruits by a rupestris rodent".
This work is based on Joe White's PhD thesis on dispersal of large seeds in the Cape. Nothing has worked out as expected, but more interestingly, both Jeremy and Joe are interested in plant-animal interactions
