From Atlantic Forest to Campo Rupestre: the Vegetation of Northeastern Brazil

Professor Wayt Thomas from the New York Botanical Garden will present the Department of Biological Sciences seminar with a talk entitled, "From Atlantic Forest to Campo Rupestre: the Vegetation of Northeastern Brazil"
In this talk, Professor Thomas will describe the ecology and vegetation of Central and northeastern Brazil, including the Cerrado, the campo rupestre, the caatinga and the Atlantic coastal forest. More detail will be provided on ecological and floristic research we have conducted in the Atlantic forest and on the pollination of Cyperaceae in the region.
