John Van Thuyne, a visiting researcher from the Faculty of Geosciences at the University of Lausanne will present the Department of Archaeology seminar with a talk about the archaeological opportunities of research  in the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park as well as an overview of research already conducted at the center he has established there. 

Mr Van Thuyne has opened an inter-disciplinary Research Center niched between the Okavango Delta and the Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. This center focuses on biology, geology and anthropology (including archaeology). The centre is a tool to be used by students, researchers or professors who intend to do some field work research in this area.  Mr Van Thuyne will present  in this region
