The Dean hosted a special function to say thank you and goodbye to 10 members of staff in the Science Faculty, who have served the faculty for a total of 280 years.  He thanked them for their commitment and contributions to the Faculty, saying that their presence and skills will be missed.  He tried to tempt some of the back to lecture in the new year but it seemed that they were all looking forward to some time out to rest and recover from their hard work in the Faculty.

At the event, Mr David Wilson, from the Department of Geological Sciences was awarded the Vice Chancellor's Bronze medal for dedicated service and commitment to the department and students and staff.
