Approximately 150 students attended this event on 10 May, where representatives from the 13 departments in the faculty gave outlines of the curriculum structure of the honours year, minimum requirements to get into the courses and potential employment opportunities. The critical issue of funding, often an inhibiting factor, was also addressed. Simon Broadley, SPGSA chairperson highlighted how students should see what they do in their honours year as a springboard to branch into a wide variety of other disciplines.
