Volunteers needed for the Red-winged Starling Project
Next week (24-28 June), the Red-winged Starling Project will be trapping adult starlings on Upper Campus during the afternoons and we could use as many volunteers as possible to help with this effort.
If you are interested in helping out, gaining some ornithological fieldwork experience right here on campus, and getting to know our awesome campus starlings a little better, please let Sally Hofmeyr know! We have a WhatsApp group for volunteers, so please send your WhatsApp number to sally.hofmeyr@uct.ac.za and let her know when you would be keen to help.
(For more information, visit UCT Red-winged Starling Project. Birds are trapped using safe methods, with clearance from UCT's Science Faculty Animal Ethics Committee and with a Cape Nature permit.)
