Peter Ryan awarded BLSA's Gill Memorial Medal

Congratulations to our Director, Prof. Peter Ryan on receiving the Gill Memorial Medal. This is BirdLife South Africa’s most prestigious award for outstanding lifetime contributions to ornithology in southern Africa. This is fitting and well deserved recognition of the fine work Peter has done throughout his career in avian biology and conservation.

The award  was announced during the BLSA AGM on Saturday May 28, and the medal and certificate were handed to Peter by the Honorary President of BLSA, Prof. Anusuya Chinsamy-Turan.
