Animal Behaviour Community Africa
There is a wealth of animal behaviour knowledge in Africa which needs to be shared. Unfortunately, funding obstacles and limited access to information make this challenging.
To this end, a group of early career researchers and students from around Africa, including within the Fitzpatrick Institute of African Ornithology have initiated the Animal Behaviour Community Africa. Their aim is to create and maintain a viable community of passionate animal behaviour enthusiasts dedicated to improving the visibility of animal behaviour research in Africa while incorporating indigenous knowledge systems. This community is open to students, volunteers, scientists (regardless of academic degree), as well as holders of indigenous animal behaviour knowledge. Individuals passionate about creating opportunities and collaborating with African researchers and students involved with animal behaviour are also welcome.
