2020/2021 Gough Island Restoration team arrive on the island

The S.A. Agulhas II left on 19th September for the annual Gough Island relief voyage. Kim Stevens, Vonica Perold and Roelf Daling have now arrived on the island to relieve Alexis Osborne, Chris Jones and Michelle Risi after their epic 2-year stint on the island. Alexis, Chris and Michelle elected to stay on for a second year to be there for the mouse eradication, only to have it postponed by the COVID pandemic! Kim, Von and Roelf will continue the long-term monitoring of seals and seabirds on the island, assist with data collection in support of the restoration operation and ensure the temporary infrastructure required to deliver it remains in good working order for the 2021 season.
