UCT Department of Astronomy Annual Open Day
We host an annual Open Day for Grade 10-12 learners to visit the department to find out what astronomy is and what being an astronomer is all about. The Open Day is usually held in September / October each year.

Cosmic Savannah
The Cosmic Savannah podcast is hosted by Dr Jacinta Delhaize (UCT Astronomy Lecturer), Dr Tshiamiso Makwela (UCT Astronomy Postdoctoral Fellow) and Dr Daniel Cunnama (SAAO). Soapbox Science Cape Town
Soapbox Science is public outreach platform to showcase women and non-binary scientists and their science topics. Each year, between September and October, the Cape Town team, led by UCT Astronomy Senior Lecturer Dr Lucia Marchetti, organises an event at the V&A Waterfront. For more details click here!
