Call for Applications for the National Astrophysics and Space Science Programme (NASSP) Honours Degree 2024

The National Astrophysics and Space Science (NASSP) at Honours level is currently offered at three university nodes in collaboration with other partner universities. The three nodes are at: University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), University of Cape Town (UCT) and North-West University (NWU)
Eligibility
NASSP Honours is open to students who have graduated with a B.Sc degree in one of Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics or Cosmology. To be considered, students must have completed at least Physics and Mathematics / Applied Mathematics up to second year level. Successful students will be offered bursaries (based on full cost of study at a node) from honours degree level to the completion of their Master’s degree which may be completed at any NASSP node or partnering university in South Africa with suitable a project in one of the fields mentioned above. In order to be eligible for a NASSP bursary, students must be South African citizens or South African Permanent Residents.
