Multivariate analyses includes a whole suite of statistical techniques to analyse data with more than one variable (either multiple dependent variables, or both multiple dependent and independent variables).
Commonly used multivariate analyses include clustering methods, principal component analysis (PCA) and non-metric multi-dimensional scaling (NMDS), all of which are briefly discussed in this seminar. Some less commonly used methods that are also touched on in this seminar include multivariate linear and generalised linear models and species archetype models.
