R Markdown is a plain text syntax for creating a wide variety of high quality documents and reports in RStudio. One of the primary uses of R Markdown is to include chunks of executable R code, and the results it produces, within a reader-friendly document. This makes R Markdown particularly useful for sharing (and collaborating) reproducible analytical R workflows. R markdown is versatile and can also be used to create slide presentations, build shiny apps, write journal manuscripts, generate webpages and more. In this toolbox Dominic gives an introductory talk into the workings of R markdown followed by a demonstration of the typical usage of R Markdown using an ecological data set in RStudio.
