We are delighted to congratulate Associate Professor Zarina Patel on her induction as President of the Society of South African Geographers (SSAG), where she will lead the Society over the next two years.

In her presidential address, Zarina emphasized the importance of collaboration, transformation, and making visible underrepresented voices and scholarship. Her vision reflects a commitment to creating a more inclusive and dynamic academic landscape, aligning closely with the values we champion within our department.
