A presentation during  orientation week (2022) aimed at post-graduate students. Dr Kevin Winter speaks about his experience and approach in the field of Environmental and Geographical Science

He illustrates this talk with a set of examples of research, education and advocacy activities over the last 8 weeks. The presentation raises challenging, but these are outweighed by exciting and inspiring activities of interest. The challenge is to enter the world of work not only with the range of skills that form part of the EGS curriculum, but new skills and attributes for a new generation. 

There is a candid and honest downside to working in EGS professions/careers, among others, there is a real interplay of tension between reward and frustration.
