Whose nature is it anyway?   

The urban ecology class recently went on a fieldtrip around Cape Town where they were exposed to a variety of different kinds of urban nature, from the haphazard to the carefully curated. Field trips always provide extra food for thought where debates in the classroom come to life in the face of lived realities in  the city.
