Professor Leonard Barbour

Members of the Centre for Supramolecular Chemistry Research have strong collaborative ties with Prof. Leonard Barbour and his research group at the University of Stellenbosch. We hold joint research meetings twice per year, at which students discuss their latest results. We share certain facilities and in the event of temporary equipment breakdowns we help each other with data capture. This mutual cooperation has been beneficial to both parties.

Assoc. Professor Ayesha Jacobs

A/Prof. Jacobs is currently employed at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and collaborates with the Centre for Supramolecular Chemistry Research. The current research projects include topics in host-guest chemistry, co-crystal studies and enantiomeric resolution. All single crystal X-ray diffraction experiments are conducted at UCT. A/Prof. Jacobs was awarded her PhD at UCT in June 2002 under the supervision of Professors Nassimbeni and Caira. Her thesis was entitled "Structure and reactivity of selected organic inclusion compounds."

Dr. Nikoletta Bathori

Dr. Bathori is currently employed at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology as a lecturer. Her research interests are in inclusion chemistry and enantiomeric resolution. She makes use of the facilities at the Centrefor Supramolecular Chemistry Research in order to conduct her research.
