We congratulate Ms. Margaret Olawale who graduated PhD in 2018 at the University of Ilorin,Nigeria under the supervision of Dr. Clement Tella and Prof. Susan Bourne. The title of her thesis is "Synthesis, characterization, adsorptive and catalytic properties of metal organic frameworks containing carboxylate ligands". Dr. Olawale spent a total of 12 months at the Centre for Supramolecular Chemistry as a recipient of the OWSD (Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World) International postgraduate Fellowship.

We congratulate Ms. Christelle Dzesse Tekouo who graduated PhD in December 2018, at the University of Buea in Cameroon. Christelle spent about 18 months with the Centre, under the supervision of Prof. Susan Bourne, as a recipient of the OWSD (Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World) International postgraduate Fellowship. We congratulate former PhD student, Dr Gift Mehlana who recently won a prestigious research grant for research excellence in a Green Chemistry project. This is a joint project between Phosagro, UNESCO and IUPAC. The award was presented at the 8th IUPAC International Conference on Green Chemistry in Bangkok, Thailand in September 2018.
