My research interest revolves around the physiological mechanisms that animals use to overcome environmental and ecological adversities, viewed through the lens of evolution (evolutionary drivers and phylogenetic considerations).
My main research themes include animal energetics, thermoregulation, and animal responses to climate change. Further, my research incorporates behavioural traits alongside physiological mechanisms to gain a more holistic understanding of how animals cope with environmental stressors such as global warming, seasonality, and parasitism.
