We are pleased to announce the publication of our latest research titled: Advancing malaria reactive case detection in a Zambia-like setting: A modeling study.
The study published in PLOS Global Public Health, assessed the impact of potential improvement measures designed to address key operational challenges affecting reactive case detection (RCD).
This comprehensive study was conducted by our Gates Foundation/MMALA PhD candidate Chilochibi Chiziba under the supervision of Prof. Sheetal Silal, alongside their research colleagues. The study revealed that manipulating improvement measures such as scaling up community health workers and implementing focal mass drug administration shows potential for RCD to contribute towards the elimination of malaria.
Recently Chilochibi Chiziba the lead author, was celebrated by the MASHA team and presented with a wonderful gift for his outstanding work.
