On Monday, 3 December 2018, members of the Plant Conservation Unit (PCU) team and associates gathered to have some lunch at the UCT Club at the University of Cape Town (UCT) to celebrate a fun and successful year and to bid farewell to Samantha Venter and Sally Mashele; two of its research assistants who’ve made a tremendous contribution to the unit. Samantha Venter (PCU Research Assistant and rePhotoSA Project Coordinator) will be leaving to pursue a job opportunity in Norway next year and Sally Mashele (PCU Research Assistant) will be starting her MSc from February 2019.
