Petra Holden participates in Cape Town 10s Netball Tournament
On Saturday 4 February 2017, Petra Holden, PhD candidate at the Plant Conservation Unit, participated in the Cape Town 10s Netball Tournament. It was a fun day out with the team (Globe Trotters), finishing fourth in their league out of 20 teams.
Cape Town 10s is a big social sport and lifestyle event that started with rugby in 2008 but soon grew to become a multi-sport event which eventually included Netball in 2013. The Netball teams consist of 10 players, with 7 players on the court at a time. Games consist of two 10 minute halves with a 2 minute half time.
