Intervarsity Netball: UCT vs UWC

On Friday 8 July 2016, the University of Cape Town (UCT) played against the University of Western Cape (UWC) for first position in the USSA (University Sports South Africa) Netball tournament - Premier league section. Petra Holden, PhD candidate at the Plant Conservation Unit, played Centre and Wing Defence. At half time the score was 23 - 19 to UCT but UWC fought back to take the win by one point (final score 43 - 42 to UWC). Well done to both teams for a great match!

Three UCT netball girls made the premier league dream team: Petra Holden (de Abreu) WD, Fortuna Bagula GD and Phumi Shandu WA. Well done girls!
