Honours

One year of study with coursework and a project with a supervisor. It is either Honours in Mathematics (MAM4000W) or Honours in Applied Mathematics (MAM4001W). A certain number of modules have to be taken. Maths modules can be taken in the Applied Maths course and vice-versa. Some modules can also be taken in different departments. A reading module can also be taken. See the website for detailed information.

- - For Mathematics, at least 65% for MAM3000W; an average of all Maths courses in undergrad should be at least 65%
- - For Applied Mathematics, 65% for MAM3040W; an average of all Maths courses in undergrad should be at least 65%

- - You must send an email to Tanya Hannival (tanya.hannival@uct.ac.za) stating which course you’re applying for and you must also apply to UCT as a postgrad student
