UCT Invitational Mathematics Challenge
The top participants in the 2018 UCT Mathematics Competition will be invited to take part in a second round, the 2018 UCT Invitational Mathematics Challenge, to be held on Saturday 12 May. The Juniors (grades 8 and 9) and Seniors (grades 10, 11 and 12) will be set the same paper, but will be ranked separately. The Challenge questions require answers only (no working or proofs).
UCT Mathematics Olympiad
The best students in the Challenge round will be invited to take part in a third round, the 2018 UCT Mathematics Olympiad, to be held on Saturday 19 May. There will be two papers, as in the Challenge. The Olympiad papers (Junior and Senior) consist of questions requiring fully written answers and proofs.
