UCT Geology wins big at the 21st Biennial Meeting of the Palaeontological Society of southern Africa (PSSA)

The 21st Biennial Meeting of the Palaeontological Society of southern Africa (PSSA) was held in Golden Gate Highlands National Park (12–15 September, 2022). Our department shone brightly at the event and brought home 50% of the PSSA awards! Congratulations to Howard Head (right) – Lystrosaurus Award for the Best Student Presentation, Wendy Taylor (centre) – for the Fun with Fossils Award, and Miengah Abrahams (left) – Harrismith Award for the Best Academic Presentation. Moreover, Miengah Abrahams and Emese Bordy have been elected as the PSSA Vice-President and Secretary, respectively, and will serve the community until 2024.
