The Transformation Committee at the Department of Archaeology was established to ensure an inclusive environment within the department.

The committee is responsible for suggesting activities and policy recommendations within the department and its faculty that uphold its goals for transformation and anti-discrimination.

Committee members come from a broad range of background and experiences, which strengthen its ability to respect and represent its constituents. 

The Transformation Committee is currently chaired by Dr Vuyiswa Lupuwana. The committee includes representatives from the current honours and master’s student cohort, the doctoral and post-graduate students, a staff representative, and alumni and retired staff representatives.
