Juane Leukes provides mechanical and vehicle-related technical support to our department. He is responsible for the vehicle pool and he maintains (and repairs) all the analytical instruments housed in the department. He is responsible for designing and building of teaching and research equipment and repair and maintenance of laboratory infrastructure. He is also responsible for the physical maintenance of the physical infrastructure at the Laingsburg field station.
