Ancient Life and Environments Lab
The ALE lab is a geochemical lab that supports sediment prep before geochemical analysis including description, weighing, digestion, as well as mineral synthesis experiments.
The lab houses basic small equipment such as freezers, pipettes, centrifuges, fume hoods and water baths. It also houses a COY polymer anaerobic chamber where the internal oxygen and CO2 levels can be manipulated (see images below), and a HACH spectrophotometer for rapid and cheap water analysis.
