The Department of Geological Sciences maintains a number of internal laboratories and analytical facilities.  The facilities are available to both internal and external (other tertiary institutions and commercial) users at affordable rates.  The Department houses the following laboratories/instruments:

Laboratories and instruments are supported by staffed, sample preparation facilities and clean labs.

A thin section facility and rock crushing room are also housed in the Department.
