Celebrating Our Chemistry Graduates!

It is with great joy and pride that we congratulate our exceptional students who graduated in the Faculty of Science Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, 3 April, at 2 pm in Sarah Baartman Hall on Upper Campus, UCT. The event was a momentous occasion for our graduates, their families, and all those who have supported them throughout their academic journeys.
We are thrilled to celebrate the following graduates:

•    PhD Graduates:
Dr Fatima-Zahra Ishmail (Supervisors: Prof K Chibale, Dr K Wicht, Dr J Woodland, and the late Prof TJ Egan)
Dr Larnelle Faye Garnie in absentia (Supervisors: Dr K Wicht and the late Prof TJ Egan)
•    MSc Graduate:
Thaakirah Phillips (Supervisor: Prof Anwar Jardine)
•    Honours Graduates:
Vincenzo La Gorcé, Danile Mata, Thabo Mosala, Chloe Netta, Sesethu Nkcaza, Emma Parsons, Vuyo Polson, Justin Powell, Malikah Salie, and CJ Sieberts.
We are incredibly proud of all their hard work, perseverance, and dedication. Each one of these graduates has shown outstanding commitment to their studies, contributing to the continued excellence of our department. Their achievements mark the beginning of exciting new chapters in their careers, and we cannot wait to see the incredible things they will accomplish.
A special note of remembrance for the late Prof TJ Egan, whose guidance and mentorship left a lasting impact on the lives of many students, including those graduating in this cohort.
Once again, congratulations to all our graduates! We look forward to seeing you shine as leaders and innovators in the field of Chemistry.
