Departmental Visit from Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB) academic

Ulrich Henneke, Professor of Organic Chemistry from VUB, visited the Chemistry Department on the 21st of June 2022. In his lecture, Professor Henneke, gave us a detailed tour of his impressive contributions to stereoselective halogenation of alkenes, with a special emphasises on the development of organocatalysts, for asymmetric halogenation. This was followed by a lengthy interaction with several of our post-graduate students.

The department thanks Professor Henneke for visiting us and giving us so much of his time. We will no doubt be seeing you again in the near future.
