2019 Inter-departmental PG Soccer Tournament

An enthusiastic team of Chemistry postgraduates won a fiercely contested inter-departmental soccer tournament held on 18 November at the UCT Sports Centre.  It was organised by the Science Postgraduate Students' Council and seven departments took part - Microbiology, Physics, Maths, Astronomy, Stats, Biological Science, and Chemistry.  Four games were played during the course of the afternoon and Chemistry emerged victorious in the final against Astronomy with a score of 3:0.

Playing on the Chemistry team were: Olaolu Fadeyi, Robert Carroll (visiting student from the University of Southampton), Pathu Masithi, Muhammad Iqbal, Yasien Amer, Christopher Thurling, Chris Mazodze, and Adrien Ndamyabera.
