Thesis title: Olivine composition and groundmass mineralogy of Fe-rich Tsabong kimberlite,Botswana

Research interests: Kimberlites, Hydrogeology

This study is about comparing the olivine composition and groundmass mineralogy of Fe-rich Tsabong kimberlite with olivine global dataset to understand the petrogenesis of the kimberlite and how it became Fe-rich. There are CLIPPIR diamonds in this kimberlite, so i will be trying to understand how does the Fe-rich melt help with the stability of these CLIPPIR diamond and if CLIPPIR diamonds are associated with Fe-rich kimberlites.
