Applications now open for the 2026 MMID Short Course

MASHA is pleased to announce a new edition of its Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases (MMID) short course, taking place 31 August – 4 September 2026 at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

This intensive, in-person course combines lectures, practical exercises, discussions, and computer simulations to introduce participants to compartmental, spatial, and economic models for infectious diseases and their application to public health decision-making.

The course is limited to 20 participants and is open to applicants with previous quantitative training and basic knowledge of epidemiology and R (or another programming language). Participants are required to bring their own laptop.
